The unpolished Punk collection by promising designer Anke Buchmann is one of the series designed by young creators who succeeded in the Nachtmann NEXTGEN design competition. The 2017 edition was partnered by Central Saint Martins, a design school in London, a vibrant city renowned for its ability to change the status quo and deliver distinctive and personal innovation.

Nachtmann NEXTGEN: Competition and Collaboration

Since 2008, prestigious design schools have been able to nominate their talented students for the Nachtmann NextGen competition, which seeks young, promising designers worldwide. Independent product designer Stefanie Kubanek, in collaboration with the Nachtmann team, creates new assignments for each project. After introducing students to the practical side of glass production directly in the glassworks in Germany, an intensive phase of work on the design itself follows.

The winning design materializes from an idea into a final product: a design series produced under the Nachtmann brand.
