Universal knife N°113 PAYSAGE 10 cm, sage, hornbeam wood, Opinel

Product detailed description

When you need to slice fruit and vegetables without turning them into an improvised purée after the first cut, the N°113 makes significantly more sense than trying to be a hero with the first utility knife at hand.

Main advantages:

• The serrated kitchen knife Opinel N°113 PAYSAGE is a practical helper for the daily slicing of soft fruits, vegetables and other delicate foods.
• The 10 cm blade offers plenty of space for comfortable slicing of tomatoes, KIWI, citrus fruits or hard-boiled eggs.
• The very fine micro-serration easily penetrates firmer skin while helping to reduce unnecessary squashing of the soft flesh inside.
• The serrated edge is therefore ideal for ripe tomatoes, for example, where a smooth blade might not catch as easily upon first contact with the skin.
• Martensitic stainless steel of European origin with a hardness of 55-57 HRC offers high sharpness, mechanical resistance and very good protection against corrosion.
• The high wear resistance of the blade helps to maintain a quality cut in the long term, even with regular use in the kitchen.
• The 1.5 mm blade thickness remains subtle enough for precise work with smaller ingredients and comfortable control of individual cuts.
• The sage-green handle made of varnished hornbeam wood gives the knife a distinctive look and makes it easy to recognise among other kitchen utensils.
• PEFC-certified hornbeam wood has a light, delicate grain with few veins, making it highly suitable for vibrant colour finishes.
• The varnished surface helps protect the wooden handle from moisture and dirt during regular use.
• The 9.8 cm handle offers a compact and comfortable grip that supports good control during precise cutting.
• The knife is well-suited for breakfast as well as everyday cooking - from slicing fruit and preparing vegetable salads to cutting eggs.
• The low weight of 23 g contributes to light and agile handling, which you will especially appreciate when processing larger quantities of smaller ingredients.
• The sage design belongs to the PAYSAGE colour range and combines the traditional shape of Opinel kitchen knives with a more distinctive modern look.
• The knife is made in France and combines a specialised micro-serrated edge with a lightweight wooden handle for everyday kitchen work.
