Pot lid 16 cm, glass, bakelite handle, de Buyer

Product detailed description

When cooking, there are moments when a dish simply needs time and a bit of privacy, though not entirely without supervision. The transparent de Buyer pot lid creates the ideal compromise: food can simmer slowly or stay warm while you see exactly what is happening inside.

Main advantages:

• The universal de Buyer glass pot lid with a diameter of 16 cm supports slow cooking, simmering and keeping dishes warm.
• The transparent glass surface allows you to monitor the preparation of family meals without lifting the pot lid and causing unnecessary heat loss.
• The steam vent helps to continuously release excess steam and supports easier control of the ongoing cooking process.
• The pot lid limits the evaporation of liquids, helps retain heat, and creates the right conditions for even food preparation.
• You can use it for gentle stewing, preparing sauces, slow-cooked recipes, and keeping finished dishes warm.
• The deep stainless steel rim increases the strength of the pot lid and ensures it sits securely on the cookware.
• The bakelite handle provides a comfortable grip during cooking and complements the practical design of the pot lid with an elegant black detail.
• The de Buyer logo on the top of the handle emphasises the origin of the pot lid and its characteristic branded craftsmanship.
• The 16 cm diameter offers a practical solution for pots of the corresponding size from compatible de Buyer collections.
• The pot lid is compatible with de Buyer cookware across all collections with the exception of the copper ranges.
• The durable design allows for use in the oven up to 200 °C and expands the possibilities for thermal food preparation.
• Glass provides an optimal overview of the cooking, while the stainless steel rim protects the perimeter and contributes to a long service life.
• After use, the pot lid can be washed in the dishwasher, making its regular maintenance simple and time-efficient.
• The robust construction combines a sturdy stainless steel rim, transparent glass, and a comfortably shaped bakelite handle for everyday use.
• The de Buyer pot lid is a practical helper for covering pots, gentle simmering and conveniently maintaining the temperature of family meals.
