Pruning knife N°08 08 cm, beech wood, Opinel

Product detailed description

Anyone who loves cooking with their own harvest knows well that some recipes begin long before the stove is turned on. The Pruning knife N°08 comes into play right in the garden - where grafting, pruning, and gradual decisions determine what will one day end up in the basket and perhaps on the plate.

Main advantages:

• The Opinel N°08 pruning knife is a specialised folding garden knife designed for grafting, scoring, pruning, and other precise tasks.
• The slightly curved blade with a length of 8 cm allows for a controlled cut when trimming plants, shrubs, and young shoots.
• The double-beveled curved blade is well-suited for pruning shrubs or cutting through garden ties and twine.
• The shape of the blade corresponds to a traditional garden billhook and facilitates precise guiding of the cut when working with live plants.
• You can also use this compact knife when harvesting fruit or cutting flowers directly in the garden or orchard.
• The folding design allows the knife to be easily carried in a pocket or garden gear between individual work locations.
• The European-sourced martensitic stainless steel reaches a hardness of 55-57 HRC and offers high resistance to corrosion.
• The stainless steel used provides good mechanical properties for regular work during grafting, pruning, and harvesting plants.
• The beech wood handle is hard and durable, while providing a pleasant natural grip during gardening work.
• The PEFC-certified beech wood comes from sustainably managed sources in the Jura and Vercors regions of France.
• The lacquered finish helps protect the wooden handle from moisture and dirt during everyday use in the garden.
• The 10.92 cm long handle provides plenty of space for confident control of the curved blade during precise gardening tasks.
• The Virobloc safety ring allows you to lock the blade in the open position during work and closed for safe carrying.
• The stainless Virobloc system consists of a fixed and a rotating section, which prevents accidental opening or closing of the blade during handling.
• The knife is made in France and represents a practical, specialised tool for gardeners, orchardists, and cultivation work.
