Pocket knife N°12 CARBON 12 cm, natural, beech wood, Opinel

Product detailed description

The N°12 CARBON is for those moments when a small pocket helper starts to feel more like moral support. The large Opinel makes it clear that this time you are actually going to get things done, rather than just symbolically poking at the problem.

Main advantages:

• The Opinel N°12 CARBON folding knife is a robust utility model designed for agricultural work, hunting, and demanding daily use.
• The 12 cm blade provides a large working surface for cutting tougher materials as well as comfortable food preparation.
• The XC90 carbon steel blade excels in high hardness, excellent cutting performance, good wear resistance, and easy subsequent sharpening.
• You will appreciate the large format of the N°12 model when working on a farm or hunting, where a longer and more powerful blade is required.
• At the dining table, it also serves as an original utility knife for portioning cheese or slicing mountain ham and other larger foods.
• The carbon steel is very easy to resharpen, allowing you to keep the edge in excellent condition even with frequent use.
• The blade is more sensitive to corrosion, so it is important to dry the surface thoroughly after each use and regularly apply a light coat of oil.
• When in contact with certain foods, carbon steel can oxidise more quickly, so it is advisable to rinse and dry the blade immediately.
• The varnished beech wood handle provides a comfortable and secure grip corresponding to the larger dimensions of this utility-focused model.
• The PEFC-certified beech wood comes from ecologically managed forests in the Jura and Vercors regions and excels in hardness and durability.
• The light beech wood can range from yellow to pinkish tones, and its grain is naturally complemented by small darker lines.
• The tinted varnish helps protect the surface of the wooden handle from moisture and dirt during regular working use.
• The 16 cm handle provides plenty of room for a firm grip and controlled guidance of the long blade during more demanding work.
• The Virobloc safety ring allows you to lock the blade in the open position during work and in the closed position during transport.
• The knife is made in France and represents one of the largest traditional Opinel models for users looking for a highly functional folding utility knife.
