Pocket knife N°10 CARBON 10 cm, natural, beech wood, Opinel

Product detailed description

The N°10 CARBON is for those moments when a small pocket helper starts to feel more like moral support. The larger Opinel makes it clear that this time you are going to get some real work done, rather than just symbolically poking at a problem.

Main advantages:

• The Opinel N°10 CARBON folding knife is a larger utility model for demanding cutting tasks, DIY, camping, and practical outdoor use.
• The 10 cm blade provides plenty of working surface for cutting tougher materials, preparing food, and other everyday tasks.
• The XC90 carbon steel excels in high hardness, excellent cutting performance, good wear resistance, and easy subsequent sharpening of the edge.
• You will especially appreciate the easy resharpening during regular work use, allowing you to continuously keep the edge in very good condition.
• The larger format of the N°10 model is also useful when working with materials that are more difficult to cut or when trimming smaller branches.
• The carbon blade is more sensitive to corrosion, therefore requiring thorough drying after use and regular light treatment with oil.
• In contact with certain foods, the surface of the carbon steel can oxidise more quickly, so it is advisable to clean and dry the blade immediately.
• The handle, made of lacquered beech wood, fits comfortably in the hand and provides a secure grip during a variety of work activities.
• The PEFC-certified beech wood comes from ecologically managed forests in the Jura and Vercors regions and excels in hardness and durability.
• Light beech wood can transition from yellow to pinkish tones, and its natural grain is complemented by characteristic small darker lines.
• The tinted varnish helps protect the wooden handle from moisture and dirt during regular use both at home and outdoors.
• The 13 cm handle provides plenty of space for a comfortable grip and confident control of the larger knife during more demanding work.
• The Virobloc safety ring allows the blade to be locked in the open position during work and in the closed position during transport and storage.
• The stainless steel Virobloc consists of a fixed and a sliding part, so you can secure the desired blade position by simply turning the safety ring as needed.
• The knife is made in France and preserves the traditional Opinel construction with a beech handle, carbon blade, and the patented Virobloc safety ring.
