Pocket knife N°08 OUTDOOR 8.5 cm, orange, Opinel

Product detailed description

There are people who head out on a trip with just a bottle of water, and then there are those who are prepared for a change in the weather, a broken rope, or even the end of civilisation. Opinel N°08 OUTDOOR will bring you pleasantly closer to the second group, without having to carry a backpack the size of a small apartment.

Main advantages:

• The Opinel N°08 OUTDOOR folding knife is designed for demanding outdoor activities, where, in addition to a reliable cut, you will also appreciate several practical features.
• The blade, 8.5 cm long and 2.5 mm thick, offers a robust design suitable for outdoor activities, hiking, camping, and water sports.
• Martensitic stainless steel of European origin with a hardness of 55-57 HRC provides high sharpness, mechanical resistance and good protection against corrosion.
• The combination edge is complemented by a 3.5 cm long serrated section, allowing you to easily cut natural and synthetic ropes during outdoor or yachting activities.
• The hole in the blade functions as a practical shackle key for loosening and tightening 4-10 mm shackles when working with marine equipment.
• The handle made of fiberglass-reinforced polyamide resists impacts, moisture and extreme temperatures from -40 °C to +80 °C.
• The integrated pealess whistle works in all weather conditions and reaches a volume of 110 dB, making it also useful for emergency signalling in the field.
• The nylon cord threaded through the handle makes it easy to attach the knife to a backpack, belt or other equipment, reducing the risk of losing it.
• The 10.9 cm long handle provides ample space for a secure grip, even during activities where you need to guide the knife firmly and with control.
• The Virobloc safety ring allows the blade to be locked in the open position during use and in the closed position during transport or storage.
• The blade's high resistance to wear helps maintain its cutting properties in the long term, even with regular contact with harder materials during use.
• Under normal conditions, stainless steel does not require any special maintenance, yet it is advisable to avoid prolonged exposure to acids, salt water and aggressive detergents.
• The grey handle with orange elements gives this technically oriented knife a distinctive outdoor look and makes it easy to spot among other gear.
• A weight of 62 g keeps the knife pleasantly light, so you can regularly carry it in your backpack, pocket or clipped to other gear.
• The knife is made in France and represents a multifunctional version of the classic N°08 model, designed for those who expect more from a pocket knife than just cutting.
