Pocket knife N°08 CARBON 8.5 cm, natural, beech wood, Opinel

Product detailed description

The N°08 CARBON feels a bit like old school in the best possible way. It has a clear purpose, requires a bit of care, and in return offers a tool that doesn't try to be everything to everyone, but takes its job very seriously.

Main advantages:

• The Opinel N°08 CARBON folding knife is a versatile helper for minor DIY tasks, camping, hunting, and everyday use at home or outdoors.
• The 8.5 cm blade offers a practical size for preparing snacks, minor cutting, and various tasks during outdoor activities.
• The XC90 carbon steel blade excels in high hardness, excellent cutting performance, good wear resistance, and easy subsequent sharpening.
• Carbon steel can hold an edge very well, but at the same time, it is more sensitive to moisture and requires more regular care than the stainless steel version.
• After use, it is recommended to wipe the blade, dry it thoroughly, and regularly oil it lightly to protect it from unwanted corrosion.
• The lacquered beech wood handle fits comfortably in the hand and preserves the characteristic natural look of traditional Opinel folding knives.
• The PEFC-certified beech wood comes from ecologically managed forests in the Jura and Vercors regions and excels in hardness and durability.
• The light beech wood can range from yellow to pinkish tones, and its grain is naturally complemented by small darker lines.
• The tinted varnish helps protect the wooden handle from moisture and dirt during regular use at home and during outdoor activities.
• The 10.9 cm handle provides plenty of space for a comfortable grip and confident control of the knife during various practical activities.
• The Virobloc safety ring allows the blade to be locked in the open position during work and in the closed position during transport and storage.
• The stainless steel Virobloc consists of a fixed and a sliding part, so you can secure the chosen blade position by simply turning the ring according to your current needs.
• The N°08 model represents the flagship size of the traditional Opinel collection, offering a balanced ratio between compactness, comfortable grip, and versatile use.
• The knife will serve well during camping, minor DIY, or hunting, where you will appreciate the high cutting performance of the carbon blade and its simple construction.
• The knife is made in France and preserves the traditional Opinel concept with a beech handle, carbon blade, and patented Virobloc safety ring.
