Pocket knife N°08 8.5 cm, red, birch wood, Opinel

Product detailed description

It is exactly the kind of practical luxury that does not look overdone, but still gives an ordinary object a bit of extra character. And if something is to spend years in a pocket or Backpack, it might as well look like it is not there by accident.

Main advantages:

• The Opinel N°08 folding knife from the Luxury range represents a more elegant take on the iconic model for everyday use, travel and outdoor activities.
• The 8.5 cm blade offers a versatile size for everyday cutting, snack preparation, picnics and small tasks during trips.
• Martensitic stainless steel of European origin with a hardness of 55-57 HRC provides high sharpness, mechanical resistance and good protection against corrosion.
• The blade's high resistance to wear helps maintain a quality cut over the long term, even with regular contact with harder materials during use.
• The handle made of laminated Finnish birch catches the eye with alternating red and darker layers, which create an original pattern and a distinctive character for each knife.
• Individual strips of Finnish birch are dyed with natural non-toxic dyes and then reassembled into a characteristic layered block.
• The 10.9 cm handle provides plenty of space for a comfortable grip and confident handling of the knife during various practical activities.
• The Virobloc safety ring allows the blade to be locked in the open position during work and in the closed position during carrying.
• The stainless steel Virobloc consists of a fixed and a sliding part, so you can secure the chosen blade position by simply turning the ring as needed.
• Under normal conditions, the stainless steel blade requires no special maintenance and offers a practical combination of sharpness, durability and easy care.
• During use, it is advisable to avoid prolonged contact of the blade with acids, salt water or aggressive cleaning agents.
• The classic N°08 size provides a balanced ratio between the compactness of a folding knife and a blade large enough for versatile practical use.
• The knife is supplied in a blue gift box, making this attractive design in laminated birch also suitable as a valuable gift.
• The knife is made in France and preserves the traditional Opinel construction with a stainless steel blade, wooden handle and patented safety lock.
