Pocket knife N°03 CARBON 4 cm, natural, beech wood, Opinel

Product detailed description

The N°03 CARBON is so small that next to a larger knife it almost looks like its younger sibling on a school trip. Then a package, a model, or other detailed work comes along, and it turns out that the size was part of the plan all along.

Main advantages:

• The Opinel N°03 CARBON folding knife is an exceptionally compact helper for everyday small tasks, model making, crafting, and precise handiwork.
• The 4 cm blade allows for highly precise guidance during delicate cutting, opening packages, or working with smaller materials.
• The XC90 carbon steel excels in high hardness, excellent cutting performance, good wear resistance, and easy subsequent sharpening.
• Easy edge restoration is practical during regular use, as you can continuously maintain the knife in very good cutting condition.
• The carbon blade is more sensitive to corrosion, therefore requiring thorough drying after use and regular light treatment with oil.
• Upon contact with certain foods, carbon steel can oxidize more quickly, so it is advisable to clean and dry the blade immediately.
• The varnished beech wood handle provides a comfortable grip and preserves the characteristic natural look of traditional Opinel folding knives.
• The PEFC-certified beech wood comes from ecologically managed forests in the Jura and Vercors regions and excels in hardness and durability.
• Light beech wood can range from yellow to pinkish tones, and its grain is naturally complemented by numerous small, darker lines.
• The tinted varnish helps protect the surface of the wooden handle from moisture and dirt during regular daily use.
• The 5.6 cm handle keeps the entire knife truly miniature while still providing sufficient control for small, precise tasks.
• You will appreciate its small dimensions in model making, creative activities, or unpacking parcels, where a larger utility knife is not needed.
• The knife is not dishwasher safe, and with the carbon blade, it is important to avoid unnecessary soaking and prolonged exposure to moisture.
• The knife is made in France and preserves the traditional Opinel concept in one of the smallest and most compact designs of the entire collection.
