Kids knife N°07 MY FIRST OPINEL 8 cm, apple green, hornbeam wood, Opinel

Product detailed description

As a first proper knife, MY FIRST OPINEL has one major advantage: the child gets something that is not a toy, but a real thing with a real purpose. And for an adult, it provides the perfect opportunity to explain that great equipment comes with great responsibility - which sounds almost like something out of a movie.

Main advantages:

• The N°07 MY FIRST OPINEL folding knife is designed for young adventurers, DIY enthusiasts and hikers who are learning to work safely with a real knife.
• The 8 cm blade provides a practical size for trips, picnics, preparing snacks and small tasks during outdoor activities.
• The rounded tip increases safety during use and is also excellent for spreading spreads on bread or preparing sandwiches.
• Martensitic stainless steel of European origin with a hardness of 55-57 HRC offers high sharpness, mechanical durability and good protection against corrosion.
• The blade's high resistance to wear helps maintain its cutting performance over the long term, even with regular use, before needing to be sharpened again.
• The handle, made from PEFC-certified hornbeam wood, features a vibrant apple green colour, making the knife easy to find among other gear.
• The wood used for the handle comes from sustainably managed forests in the Jura and Vercors regions and is PEFC-certified.
• The lacquered surface of the handle helps protect the wood from moisture and dirt during normal use at home and during outdoor activities.
• The 10 cm handle provides plenty of space for a comfortable and controlled grip when getting to grips with the practical use of a folding knife.
• The Virobloc safety ring allows the blade to be locked in the open position during work and in the closed position during transport and storage.
• A simple twist of the safety ring's collar locks the blade in the chosen position, representing an important safety feature when using the folding knife.
• Under normal conditions, the stainless steel blade does not require any special maintenance, although it is not recommended to expose it to acids, salt water or detergents for long periods.
• Weighing just 34 g, the knife is easy to carry in a backpack or kit, and won't weigh a young adventurer down on trips.
• The knife is made in France and combines the traditional Opinel design with modifications aimed at a safer first experience for younger users.
• Warning: MY FIRST OPINEL is not a toy and its sharp blade requires use by a child under the supervision of an adult.
