Garden knife N°08 8.5 cm, beech wood, Opinel

Product detailed description

Gardening is a peculiar hobby where one voluntarily kneels in the dirt and then boasts about what they have pulled out of it. This Opinel fits perfectly into the whole discipline and helps to make the journey from the garden bed to the dinner table a bit more professional.

Main advantages:

• The Opinel N°08 folding gardening knife is a practical helper for weeding, harvesting lettuce, dandelions and other small tasks in the garden.
• The 8.5 cm blade provides plenty of room for precise cuts during harvesting while maintaining the compact dimensions of a folding knife.
• The pointed shape of the blade makes it easier to work between plants and helps with tasks where you need more precise control of the edge in limited spaces.
• The reinforced blade design matches the gardening focus of the knife and contributes to more confident use during regular work around the garden beds.
• Martensitic stainless steel of European origin with a hardness of 55-57 HRC offers high sharpness, mechanical durability and good protection against corrosion.
• High wear resistance of the blade helps to maintain cutting performance even with regular use before further sharpening is required.
• The handle made of varnished beech wood fits comfortably in the hand and preserves the characteristic natural look of traditional Opinel knives.
• The PEFC-certified beech wood comes from ecologically managed forests in the Jura and Vercors regions and excels in hardness and durability.
• The varnished surface helps protect the wooden handle from moisture and dirt during regular use throughout the gardening season.
• The 10.72 cm handle provides plenty of room for a comfortable grip and controlled guidance of the knife during harvesting and weeding.
• The Virobloc safety ring allows the blade to be locked in the open position during work and in the closed position during transport and storage.
• The stainless steel Virobloc features a fixed and a sliding section, allowing you to secure the chosen blade position with a simple twist of the safety ring as needed.
• The hole at the end of the handle allows the knife to be hung or threaded with a lanyard, so you can easily keep it close at hand while working in the garden.
• The knife is made in France and adapts the traditional Opinel design to the needs of gardeners looking for a compact tool for regular care of garden beds.
